10 AN IVY Favorites: APRIL
Spring is finally here and it’s time to make some changes in our wardrobe. Our April guide is here showing you our top 10 things on our own wish-lists. These are the items that we are dying to add to our wardrobes and coffee tables ourselves, and perhaps you can find a new favorite or two among.
Let’s get started.
1. J Crew, Camo Field Jacket
Camo is trending big time this spring. And this M65 inspired jacket from one of our favorites, J. Crew, is a perfect contrast when it’s styled into a more formal look.
Try it with a pair ofsuit trousers, a pair of brogues, an oxford shirt and of course a tie.
2. COS, Dropped Shoulder Coat
A bit bold, but without being to much. A casual, cool khaki green coat from COS with the infamous dropped shoulders, which have been trending on the streetwear scene for a couple of years now. But hey, don’t underestimate the coolness of dropped shoulders in the formal wardrobe as well.
3. A Day’s March, Overshirt
We continue the to show love for the M65-inspired overshirt. Seriously, it’s the perfect alternative to the blazer during spring.
4. Kinfolk, Weekend Special Magazine
Great reading. Even greater aesthetics. The spring issue of Kinfolk examines the nuances of free time, its rituals and rhythms and its capacity to reinvigorate
5. Topman, Light Grey Suit
We have hungered for the light grey suit for months. Now it’s finally time to wear it again. Hell Yeah!
6. H&M, Nylon Trenchcoat
The season for wool coats is over. And to replace it, you should definitely invest in a classic trenchcoat in nylon. You will love it through the entire spring and in the autumn as well.
7. Northern Legacy, Onyx ring
Finally the ring is back as the preferred accessory for men (besides watches). Just like back in the days.
8. Common Projects, Loafers
Common Projects says: “They don’t scream that they’re special…they really shine once you start to live with them”. We couldn’t agree more. For seasons their sneakers has been among our favorites. Now they have created the most beautiful loafers. For sure they are expensive, but they are worth the investment.
9. Diesel, Only The Brave Scent
The scent of spring. Fresh and nice.
10. Ace & Tate, Shades
No spring list without a pair of great sunnies. Dutch based Ace & Tate creates the coolest shades and combines it with very great prices. What’s not to like?
