Our Favorite Scents
Like we enjoy people who dresses nice, we enjoy a good scent. Perhaps more than normal, but there is just something about finding your favorite scent and then putting it on every single morning. Having a signature smell is to us essential. Yes, we can mix things up a bit sometimes, but 4 out of 5 days, we go for the same one.
For many men though, it can be difficult to figure out this whole scent-world. Because what do you look (actually smell) for? There are so many different versions out there, and so many brands, that it can be a hurdle to even getting started. But fear not, we are here to help. Here are our 5 favorite scents with a little description of each and every one, so you can choose one that fits your persona.
1. Byredo – Gypsy Water
With a fresh touch of lemon, paired with the sweetness of vanilla, this one got us right away. To be honest, it has been Nikolaj’s favorit for the last 3 years. It’s from the Swedish brand, Byredo, founded by an awesome guy named Ben Gorham and uses simple composition of the highest quality raw materials to make these magnificent perfumes.
2. Tom Ford Oud Wood
Our latest obsession has been this one. Where the Byredo perfume was fresh and light, this one is much more warm and woody. It’s one that will get noticed, but for all the good reasons. It’s solid, masculine with a great mix of rose wood and cardamom.
3. Comme des Garcons Black Pepper
Who doesn’t like a little spice? As the nam indicates, lots of pepper notes that meets cedar, patchouli, and tonka bean, giving this perfume from the japanese som wildness to it.
4. Maison Margiele Flying
Not only do they know how to make one of the greatest sneakers of all time, but they also know a thing or two about putting a scent together. A fresh version with notes of orange, bergamot and neroli blossoms.
5. Floris London No. 89
This one is a classic and has not moved from old times. But that’s a good thing, trust us. It is a timeless scent warmed with Vetiver and mellow Cedarwood, piqued with top notes of classic Bergamot and spicy Nutmeg.
