STYLE ICON OF THE MONTH: ZAYN MALIK

Superstar, style-icon, dating Gigi Hadid. We could go on and on about what to envy Zayn Malik. Though it can be difficult to steal his girlfriend, his style is more accessible.

Once a part of the global phenomenon, One Direction, Zayn Malik has now gone solo for some time. Though he’s music still gets a lot of attention, that isn’t what this article is about. Rather, it’s his insane ability to get dressed in a fresh and different way. Named as the best dressed man of 2017 by GQ Britain, which means that we are obviously not the only ones who find some inspiration from his unbelievable style. Not very often in a suit, why many of his outfit is perhaps a bit out of our league, but when he wears clothes that fall on the more formal end of the spectrum, he does good. And it’s very interesting to see how he steps it up.

We took a closer look at his style and found three great elements that you have to take into consideration next time you dress (and shop):

1. Wear Boots

Add some instant coolness to your suit-look by pairing it with boots. Of course, it has to be a boot with a slim silhouette – like a Chelsea Boot or something similar. Especially during these winter months, this is a style move to seriously consider.

2. Choosing The Knit Tie

Choose the knit tie. Yes, also possible for the formal events. At least if you want to stand out. If it’s a formal event you are going to, choose one with some structure in it and with very few details. A solid knit tie perhaps with a few stripes to add some coolness. Zayn Malik has done this various times and every time he looks like amazing.

3. Tone in Tone

A white blazer with a white shirt. Or a black suit with a black turtleneck. We love both looks, man! So why not try to mix things up a bit instead of always choosing the white shirt and the navy blazer? Try to match the colors. It does not have to be 100% similar – you can mix two shades of blue for example. It’s a pretty easy move, yet it looks extremely well-thought.
