Winter is coming. You might already have a great woolen coat. Now, how to switch it up? We guide you to the best jackets this winter.

Living in Denmark, we know the value of a good coat. So we already got one. But what other types of jackets do you need this winter? What is the latest trends regarding jackets? We looked into this, and found three great alternative jackets that is the perfect alternative to a great, classic coat. So if you are looking for a new jacket this season, this is what we suggest you go for.

1. Down Jacket

The down jacket is no longer just for climbing mountains or going skiing. Now, also the great designers have given their spin to it. And we really feel this one. A great way of dressing down a tie, and can be pretty bad ass to wrap over your finest suit. And yeah, then you don’t need to look for a new jacket when going skiing this season – because you already got one. That’s a smart investment, right there!

Our 2 favorites:

The expensive: Moncler Gamme Blue, 1480€

On a budget: GAP x GQ,140€

2. Plaid Coat

The hottest types of fabric this season is the old-school ones. Like Plaids, Houndstooth, Prince of Wales etc. And so goes for your coat. This season it needs to get louder. And what better than a Plaid Coat then? For most guys out there, it’s the one coat they don’t already own—or have seen for the last five year on store racks. But that ends this winter. So join the cool-guy club and add this type of coat to your wardrobe.

Our 2 favorites:

The expensive: AMI, 950€

3. Shearling Jacket

Not only for the pilots anymore. We actually talked about this last winter as well, but it’s still as hot. Perhaps even hotter. And for good reason. This jacket is really one our favorites. The collar makes you look bad-ass in the most stylish way and you can wear it with a pair of your favorite jeans, just like it looks cool when you add it to your woolen fine trousers. If you are not convinced by the above picture of Mr. Beckham looking sharp as hell in his, we don’t know what will.
