WHAT TO WEAR TODAY: THE OLIVE GREEN SUIT

A suit is very often seen as the formal, refined and safe choice. Typically the grey suit, a navy suit, a black suit—and if you’re advanced a pinstripe or a plaid – are tailoring essentials. These are the suits that will have you covered for just about any occasion.

But sometimes you can also choose to do it bit more bold. To turn your suit into a more fashionwise statement wear a colored one. It might possibly feel a little challenging to break with the traditional view on how to wear a suit. But like Mr. Porter once wrote: “However, a coloured suit could just be your ticket to sharp, smart-casual spring dressing”.

So what we want to wear today is an olive green suit.

But why green?

For seasons the green color has been a main trend in the menswear wardrobe, and it seems like it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. The olive/army green is just the ideal choice. Especially for the springtime.. And it’s easy to style in lots of different ways. From formal to casual.

We have made a list of a few styling tips. And found some pretty cool suits for you as well.

1. The green suit always look cool and casual if it’s styled with a navy knitted tie.

2. It’s easy to mix and match with sneakers

Here it’s worn by AN IVY co-founder, Alexander Gram. The dotted tie will release very soon on the site.

3. It might seem simple…

but if you style it with a white dress shirt and brown leather brogues, this combination can potentially set you apart from the crowd.

4. Wear it with a denim shirt if you want a cool contrast.

5. Mix it with an Oxford shirt and a striped linen tie…

for a refined and elegant style.
