WHAT IS ON OUR CHRISTMAS WISHLIST THIS YEAR PT. 1
The things we actually want this year. First up is one of the two founders – Nikolaj. This is what he wants for Christmas.
No matter how many years we have been doing this, it’s like it never gets easier for us. The ‘wishlist‘. You might know the feeling? What do we really wish for? Of course there are all sorts of things we want. But is it Christmas-gift appropriate? Does it belong in the appropriate price range? Is it fun for the gifting part to buy and give this? This process can be long. But just because our process has been long, doesn’t have to equal that yours should be the same. So we thought we should share a couple of the items that has been written down on the list.
First up is one half of the founder-team, Nikolaj. This is what he hopes he will get on Christmas Eve and why:
Zalto Bordeaux Wine Glass
I like wine. A lot. There is just something about it that resonates a lot with me. So I spent a lot of time researching when buying my wines. And that’s why – in my point of view – they should be served in the most beautiful glasses one can find. Many wine-people discuss this and there is many different opinions about what brand makes the best. My choice is Zalto. And especially their Bordeaux glasses (also because I prefer either Bordeaux or Burgundy, when it comes to wine). Zalto is a German brand where all the glasses are handblown and they are just so thin and elegant making sure the wines are served in the coolest way. Find them online – for example here.
2. Byredo Perfume ‘Mister Marvellous’
My favorite brand when it comes to perfumes. My last three perfumes have come from this Swedish Brand created by cool-cat, Ben Gorham. Right now (as I am writing this) I am wearing the one called ‘Super Cedar’ which is a great perfume for autumn and winter, I am looking for my next spring/summer scent, and last time I entered the Copenhagen super-store, ‘Storm’ I fell in love with this. Fresh with notes of citrus, flowers and white cedarwood. Find it right here.
3. Converse 1970’s Chuck Taylor in Cream White
Like wine, I have a thing with shoes. And while I’m pretty happy with my selection of Brogues and Loafers – which are my preferred footwear – I am missing a new pair of sneakers. And recently I have been a lot into the 1970’s Converse Chuck Taylors. They got the perfect proportions and can easily be worn together with both your coolest suit and to your best pair of jeans. One of the most versatile sneakers if you ask me. So of course, I would be thrilled to open up a gift like this. Who wouldn’t? Here it is.
4. Aspesi Blazer
The odds for me to get this is rather low. For good reason as it’s priced at €410. But you are allowed to dream and this Aspesi-blazer would fit right into my wardrobe. What I like about this is it’s cool- and casualness. I could se myself wear this with a pair of navy wool trousers at winter, but also together with my khaki-colored linen trousers during summer – like it would be amazing paired with a light-blue Oxford Shirt. Santa, if you want to gift me this, you can cop it right here.
